Entry #1: In The Beginning
This is the first ever official entry into The Chronicles of Alt Wave. Maddawgg checking in here to lay this foundation. In this entry, I want to cover the basics of what this portion of Alt Wave even is, our motives behind doing it, and all the content it will feature plus where to find it.
What the heck is The Chronicles of Alt Wave?
Simply put, The Chronicles of Alt Wave is the unscripted journal of Alternative Wave Magazine.
Diving a little deeper, The Chronicles of Alt Wave will be an ongoing series of Entries and Episodes that cover everything that goes on with the back end of Alt Wave Mag. This includes:
- Our monthly team meetings
- Journal entries of what is going on within our logistics
- How we go about bringing the content we make to the world
- All moves we make
- Every step we take
It's basically an entry log of wtf is up and going down inside of the Alt Wave Mag Head Quarters in the most authentic and transparent way we can achieve.
Why are we doing this?
Well. You know we are all about Truth and Authenticity in every single thing we do. We are also all about teaching anyone who wants to learn how we do what we do. So that maybe one day, you'll make your own project that will change the world. And maybe you will be able to pull some knowledge, inspiration, motivation from us documenting what we are up to. On the flip side, maybe you'll be able to learn from the mistakes that we make so you can avoid them on your own journey. Did you know that human beings are the only living entities on earth that are capable of learning from others mistakes? Use this to your advantage to evolve lightning fast. In all of past history, people evolved quite slowly. Needing generations of time to pass before conquering something. We at Alt Wave believe that this shouldn't be the way anymore. We have so much technology and tools that we can utilize to evolve multiple steps up every second of every day. Evolution no longer takes lifetimes, it can be condensed into minutes. Use this to your advantage and build something incredible during your lifetime. Something that will withstand the test of time and act as a lighthouse to others. Not just inspiring people to do exactly what you do. But inspiring anyone from any walk of life to do what ever their dreams are. That's what we are doing.
Sure, Alt Wave Mag is a Magazine on the outside. But on the back end, we are a machine that brings knowledge, documentation, and truth to the world. The logistics that goes behind a project like this have the same fundamentals that any and all businesses need. Not just within the music or print industry, within any industry anywhere in the universe. The foundations that Alt Wave was built on are fundamental truths of all successful operations. The mindsets we hold and the values we practice are solid ones that are doing very well for us and will do even better for you as you take them and iterate even more with your own personal touch.
We are doing The Chronicles of Alt Wave so that we can document everything we do. This is one of the corner stones of creating something that will withstand the test of time. Document, document, document it all.
What will be in The Chronicles of Alt Wave and where can I find it all?
First, let's talk content specifically. The Chronicles of Alt Wave will be split into 2 branches: Episodes and Entries. Entries will be blog post style written pieces, like this piece here. Episodes will be Podcast and Video episodes that will range from recordings from our staff meetings to vlogs of Alt Wave bts stuff.
Now, where can you find these two branches of content? The Entries will live right here on Altwavemag.com and look just like this post you are reading now. It will all be in this section on the website. Podcasts will be hosted on Spotify and YouTube. Video episodes will live on YouTube. These 2 different branches will live on 3 platforms. However, right here in The Chronicles of Alt Wave section of Altwavemag.com, we will always make a written post letting everyone know that we uploaded a new podcast or video episode with the link to check it out. This right here is the central hub to find all things The Chronicles of Alt Wave.
Conclusion
All in all, i'm incredibly excited for this new chapter of Alt Wave Mag. We started July 1st of 2022 and have already come so far. I feel like we have built enough up so that telling the stories of how we are doing what we do will make sense since there is now enough content in the physical/digital world to compare these stories to. Meaning, you can see our steps and the results we got in full effect. Alt Wave Mag holds truth and Authenticity a the most high. This is another way we will be practicing holding that value. Full transparency so that we can not only change the world, but be a lighthouse that will guide others to do that same in their own unique way. Remember, no one can do you better than you.
